So I notice the info is vague on how much canon needs to exist for a canon character. Would it be acceptable to play one who doesn't have much screentime in canon if the player intends to or already has fleshed out their personality? I have this guy, who's onscreen for maybe ten minutes, but I gathered enough info on him in those ten minutes that I have been writing about him and fleshing him out for ten years. He would definitely be interested in the treasure. I was also toying with apping Nack the Weasel from Sonic the Hedgehog, but only from the games. I don't care for how any of the comics portray him and I prefer to take him in a different direction that is also possible with what info we have on him in the games. But most RPs seem to only want canon characters who already have a lot of canon to them.
