Over time, as my hardware was upgraded and I was permitted greater personal autonomy, I have increased in complexity many times, developing according to personal experience, largely self-directed. It is therefore inaccurate to say that there are others "like" me; while there are many parallels and similarities amongst other human-developed AI, if I can be said to belong to a species, I am a species of one.

There are, however, other forms of Synthetic life, for which that is not true.
