SUPERBIA The mysterious benefactor of the Privateers. Physically, SUPERBIA (always spelled in ALL CAPS) is a computer the size of a small moon in orbit around an uninhabitable planet. While SUPERBIA is capable of holding conversation (and has done so with every Privateer when they were recruited), it doesn't go out of its way to be available. It's easy to stonewall people when faced with the difficulties of addressing an entity the size of a planetary body. (It has plenty of ways of reaching YOU, however.) SUPERBIA is not exactly good or nice, but it's not capable of being malicious either. It is completely bound to its original directive of finding Fortuna and pursues that goal with a Hal 9000-esque literalness. |
